Harri Aalto created the definitive collection of water jet inlay medallions. Harri’s marble medallion designs are inspired by historical art and architecture as well as his own fine art. Our team of designers has since created thousands of variations of medallions, borders, corners, flourishes, and embellishments from Harri’s original designs, which are now in our archive.
Aalto’s Signature Collection of marble medallion designs includes many different design elements that can be customized to suit your unique space. Some medallions feature crests and coat of arms designs at the cardinal points. Some of these copyrighted marble medallion designs take inspiration from the classical arching acanthus leaves of the Greek and Roman times, and some take their inspiration from the forms of the sea, natural flora and leaves. Greek Key borders are always a classic, they are both modern and ornate. However, if this geometric element will not work in your interior we can add a scroll style border or band border in its place. These stone mosaic medallions can be made in many sizes from small 3’ diameter medallions appropriate for a powder bath or backsplash location to large 30’ diameter marble medallions that are suited to grand foyer spaces or commercial marble rotundas.
